France - my observations and feelings.

On October 2nd, 2018 I flew to France for a students exchange. The aim of this exchange was to get to know a new culture and to practise English language. The first day after the arrival was Wednesday and on that day French students don't go to school, so I went with my exchange partner to a house in the village, where we spent a nice time walking and talking.

During the next few days, we would get up in the morning and go to school. We also went on trips with our group. We visited a lot of interesting and beautiful places. On the last day before the departure, we travelled to the center of Lyon, where we visited the cathedral with a guide. She told as interesting stories about this place and, at the end, we had one hour to buy some souvenirs or sweets.

The thing that surprised me in France was food. I noticed that the French eat a lot of sweet meals during a day. Dinner, the first hot meal during a weekday, is served very late -at 8 p.m.

Visiting the local family was much more fruitful than a regular holiday trip. It was a wonderful time and I am looking forward to Li-Anna’s revisit to Poland.
